Associate Production Manager
Our client, a pre-eminent resource for financial market information located in downtown Manhattan, has the immediate need for an Associate Production Manager.  This is a consult-to-hire opportunity and will start immediately for the right person.

Job Title: Associate Production Manager
Type: Consult-to-Hire
Location: Downtown Manhattan
Pay: Approx. $50K/year when perm
Starting: ASAP

Responsibilities include:
·Coordinate, review, and traffic all advertising materials from agencies prior to print. This includes running the files through Pit Stop to ensure they meet our digital specifications.
·Create ad lists from billing reports in an Excel spreadsheet template.
·Develop & maintain schedules, prepare roadmaps and bindery reports, as well as coordinate all production management for products listed above.
·Coordinate and schedule all inserts and communication with printing plants.
·Finalize PDF files and send all final editorial and ad pages to printer electronically, as well as hard copy proofs via courier.
·Prepare and submit weekly status report detailing product progress and any issues for that week.
·Approve and code all invoices for your publications.
·Prepare monthly accounting closes, as well as annual budgets and schedules.
·Coordinate house ads with marketing departments.
·Contact sales and or clients for missing ad materials.
·Review proofs from printing plant.
·Reports directly to Production Director.

Goals & Objectives:

30 Days:
·Work closely with the Production Director to develop a full understanding of the procedures, workflow and printing plant requirements for your newly assigned products.
·Work together with Production Director to prepare the monthly accruals (accounting close) for your newly assigned products.

60 Days:
·Work together with the Production Director to achieve a full understanding of all financial reporting preparation for your newly assigned products.

Required Skills:
- 3+ years of solid experience as an Advanced Production/Ad Traffic Coordinator
- Must have advanced MS Excel and Word skills
- Demonstrated ability with Quark and InDesign
- Filemaker experience is a huge plus
- Experience in the financial industry is not a must but would be a major advantage
