| Our SAP Solutions service lines NetWeaver Practice is currently looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to work in New York/New Jersey/Connecticut. This position is part of an IT support organization supporting SAP applications, for operating companies (Our Clients within the Retail, Media and Life Sciences Industries) around/within NY and NJ and work at a technical level with an understanding of SAP, its underlying database, operating system, and hardware platform. Incumbents interact with development teams, configuration teams, various technical support teams, and business stakeholders to optimize and maintain the overall SAP reliability, availability, and performance.

Job Description Provide technical support for the clients SAP Portal and SAP R/3 systems. This job covers all aspects of SAP Basis administration, including system installations and upgrades, problem analysis and resolution, database management, client copies, system refreshes, SAP instance configuration and performance tuning for a complex system landscape. Key responsibilities include: Working at a technical level with an understanding of SAP, its underlying database, operating system, and hardware platform. Interact with development teams, configuration teams, various technical support teams, and business stakeholders to optimize and maintain the overall SAP reliability, availability, and performance. Provide installation, configuration, integration, upgrade and testing services for new projects and on-going maintenance for SAP environments on Sun Solaris servers Analyze, diagnose and resolve computing problems involving system hardware, third party software and operating system software Provide performance tuning, problem analysis, upgrades and system administration for Oracle databases and SAP instances, specifically SAP R/3 4.7, NetWeaver 2004s and ECC 6.0. Knowledge in performing client copies, system refreshes, and SAP troubleshooting Knowledge in administration of SAP Enterprise Portal Knowledge in administration BI 7.0 Experienced in SAP Correction and Transport System and SAP Security management. Coordinate and schedule SAP GoLive sessions Review and implement the recommendations of SAP EarlyWatch sessions Experience in the maintenance and upgrade of Crystal Reports Knowledge on SAP data archiving for BI and Enterprise via Ixos solution Provide support in Unix administration including space management, monitoring, performance tuning and security Require scheduled 24x7 on-call support and after hour and weekend work as needed Knowledge of single sign-on (SSO) solutions to portal and backend R/3 and BI systems Minimum Requirements: 5 years progressive SAP Basis administration experience 2 years Oracle administration and performance tuning UNIX system administration experience BS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar SAP Basis experience with components mentioned below: o Web Application Server o Enterprise Portal o Business Information Warehouse o BI Accelerator o Internet Transaction Server o Single-Sign On o Solution Manager o PI Process Integration Network and system administration experience including installation and maintenance of operating system, network, system hardware, storage, and automated monitoring UNIX korn shell and Perl scripting to automate support for SAP, Oracle, and UNIX If you are interested in this opportunity, please reply with your updated resume in Word format to .
